The banjo and cello player (Cello)

Within the cords of my cello
I find the fibers of my soul
Playing my joy or my sorrow
From hidden chords rolled in my scroll
I smile and hug the instrument
Like a good friend, like family
We share a word, timeless moment
Through which we carve a melody.
I’ve been trusting the strings
For me, they are like wings
Sometimes, they help me fly
Like a kite in the sky
I’ve been surfing the breeze
Because, I’m like the bees
My heart and soul belong
To the hive of a song.

Between the cords of my banjo
I slide my fingers and they roll
Playing that riff, singing sparrow
Like in a dream, we’ll take a stroll
I laugh and hug the instrument
Stroking the chords like poetry
We share a dance, timeless moment
Through which we carve a melody.

I’ve been trusting the strings
For me, they are like wings
Sometimes, they help me fly
Like a kite in the sky.
I’ve been surfing the breeze
Because, I’m like the bees
My heart and soul belong
To the hive of a song.

An ancient sound
From my cello
That’s all I’ve found
To say hello.
If I can play
My old banjo
I’ll find, one day
A place to go.

A place to stay with my cello
A place to lay my old banjo
A place to shelter my passion
To play the notes of my mission.
