[Intro]
Kenbe twòp pèn nan yon kè ki pa fèt pou sa
E depi lè m te batize, mwen toujou reve n'ap rive
Pase vi nou pèsekite pou tout bagay nou merite

[Verse 1]
Sa se nou ki te kreye l
Mwen te sou wout Petion Ville pou n desann lavil
Pou m rive Top 50 pou mwen al anrejistre yon nouvo stil
Pou yon albòm ki te rele “1804”
Ke n pat menm panse moun t'ap renmen
Men se konsa, pitit Bondye vinn pot viktwa
Mennen limyè nan tout fènwa
Leve chante pou ka fè sa, fè sa, fè l la

[Chorus]

[Verse 2]
Sa se nou ki te kreye l
Mwen te sou wout Leogane pou m rive Kafou
Kilti peyi m nan mizik yo
3 mapou te nan yon lakou
Yo te dim w'a konstri chato,
W'a tande mato m frape klou yo
Pitit Bondye vinn pot viktwa
Mennen limyè nan tout fènwa
Leve chante pou ka fè sa, fè sa, fè l la

[Chorus]

[Bridge]
Papa Bondye nan syèl la k'ap veye nou
Letènel pwoteje nou
E lè w santi ke chay la vinn twò lou
Zanj yo ap vinn ede ou

[Outro]
Kenbe twòp pèn nan yon kè ki pa fèt pou sa
E depi lè m te batize, mwen toujou reve n'ap rive
Pase vi nou pèsekite pou tout bagay nou merite

    4Mula's Chapter 1

Jude and Carl Edouard (Carlitow) Deslouches have been on our radar since they dropped Se Ou Mwen Vle and the subsequent EP. Once in a while, the brothers would tease us with a new track. Late last year, they introduced 4Mula, a new band with fellow Montrealites and former Vibrasyon members, Romuald Paul and Benjamin Guirand. Their debut, "Chapter 1", is a groovy ride anchored by the Deslouches' warm vocals. It's the kind of album that will jump start any party and keep it rocking all night long. All you need is an aux cord. We...

    Five Diaspora Winter Anthems

A few weeks ago, all 50 states reached freezing temperatures. The Polar vortex may be gone, but most of us still can't feel our toes. Since humans can't hibernate, staying in and hunkering down is only a temporary fix. Plus, we have to brave the cold to pay those bills. Good thing, we have music to warm our souls. Quite a few Haitian artists have migrated to the States, Canada, and Europe. They've all experienced the winter blues and expressed their lingering homesickness in song. Here are a few of our favorites. They're a potent cocktail of frustration and nostalgia. We'd cry,...
