[Verse 1]
Mwen louvri yon paj nan liv sakre w la
Pa ka fèmen l pakse m wè twòp deja
Se nou ki konn sa n pral fè ak sa
Mwen gentan anpwazonnen
Tout san mwen kontamine
Ou gentan wè sa k rive

[Verse 2]
Ou di pou ki se ou k tonbe anba
An plis ou di m lavi m chaje avèk dram
Men lè n fè lanmou, ou di m li toujou gou (li toujou gou doudou)
Gen lontan m pa enpresyone
Li pa fasil pou kè m kase
W annik vini, ou tounen nesesite

[Chorus]
Cheri w se tout sa m t ap chèche
Tout sa m te manke
Yon priyè ki egzose
Ou tankou yon lajan k sere ke m te m fin bliye
Sanzatann m al twouve

[Verse 3]
Ou pa gen anpil tan, poutan se kòmsi n te ansanm tout tan
Nou youn toujou ka fè kè lòt kontan
Se s ak fè aprezan li pa deranje m lè yo di m twò inosan
Sè l mwen ki konn pou ki rezon

[Chorus]

[Verse 4]
Si m wè m ap bat kò m devan w
Si tout fwa w wè m aji k on ti pantan
Li pa nan tanperaman m pou m fè pedan
Pa fè pwomès tout tan, men tan m avèk tan w vo plis ke dyaman baby
Mwen ak ou fè lesyèl kontan woy

[Keyboard solo]
Oh oh oh
Men sa s on ben lanmou
Cheri kenbe m, kenbe m kenbe m
Klass it is baby, yes it is baby

[Hook]
Yo di pa gen lanmou ankò ankò
Mwen menm avè w nou pa dakò dakò
Men ki mele m avè yo
Yo di pa gen lanmou ankò ankò
Di sa pa gade nou
Mwen menm avè w nou pa dakò dakò

Woyoyoy

[Verse 5]
Wi alèkile, vrè lanmou ra pou twouve
Se enterè moun yo ap jere
Yo bliye l s on bagay ki sakre
Jou mwen avè w sèmante, se sou nou lanmou pral konte
Nou pral egzanp limanite ye anye anye
Doudou vini mwen ba w siwo

[Hook]
Yo di pa gen lanmou ankò ankò
Men sa pa gade nou
Mwen menm avè w nou pa dakò dakò
Sa nou ba yo pote?
Yo di pa gen lanmou ankò ankò
Mwen menm avè w nou pa dakò dakò

[Verse 5]

[Keyboard solo]
Castel Leroi, lekòl la pap ret ban vid tande
Sa k poko enskri kouri
Men sa s on sen sakreman
Ou la la la la

    Five Diaspora Winter Anthems

A few weeks ago, all 50 states reached freezing temperatures. The Polar vortex may be gone, but most of us still can't feel our toes. Quite a few Haitian artists have migrated to the States, Canada, and Europe. They've all experienced the winter blues and expressed their lingering homesickness in song. Here are a few of our favorites. They're a potent cocktail of frustration and nostalgia. We'd cry,...
