[Verse]
Jou w a kite m pap gen ni lè ni jou
Ni kòman ni kijan ni moman pou kite m
Se yon desizyon w'ap pran lontan
K ap vin sou mwen san l pa ban m tan
Jou w a kite mwen pap menm gen kondisyon
Refleksyon, reyaksyon, matyè a diskisyon
Se yon kalkil de byen lontan
K ap vin sou mwen san l pa ban m tan

[Chorus]
W a va gen mil rezon pou montre jan m pa bon
W a mache denigre mwen devan lasosyete
E lè sa a, mwen pap jwenn dlo ki pou lave m

[Guitar solo]

Kreyòl La, nou just enposib

[Chorus]

Men ni papa...

[Keyboard solo]
David Dupoux, lari a pral pale mesye
Esquina Latina, ou jwenn bagay
Kite m vibe

[Chorus]

Men lè yo kite w ou meprizan, malpalan, vakabon
Yo sonje tout sa w fè k pa bon
Yo repete tout sa k posib ki pou fè ou mal
Men yo pap sonje se ou yo te konn adore

[Chorus]
Oh ala lanmou engra
Ala lanmou engra
Pou remèsyel yo itize l rabese l, pase l nan tenten
Gen moun ki pa merite sa

[Chorus]
Oh ala lanmou engra
Ala lanmou engra
Pou remsyèl yo pwofite l, yo twonpe l oubyen yo kite li
Gen moun ki pa merite sa

[Keyboard solo]
Mache prese a kòmanse
Kite m vibe

Men lè yo kite w ou meprizan, malpalan, vakabon
Yo sonje tout sa w fè k pa bon
Yo repete tout sa k posib ki pou fè ou mal
Men yo pap sonje se ou yo te konn adore

[Chorus]
Eske lanmou se engratitid (di mwen non)
Anvè yon moun ki te renmen w
Eske lanmou se engratitid
Eksperyans lavi fè mwen wè ke dèfwa lanmou engra
Eske lanmou se engratitid
Anvè yon moun ki renmen w
Malgre w fè sa w kapab, pou yo ou s’on enkapab
Eske lanmou se engratitid

BIOGRAPHY

HMI Artists Share Their Favorite Holiday Songs

Nothing gets us in the spirit like holiday music. That got us wondering what jams and traditions make our artists merry. So we asked. ← Previous Next→ ...

    Five Diaspora Winter Anthems

A few weeks ago, all 50 states reached freezing temperatures. The Polar vortex may be gone, but most of us still can't feel our toes. Since humans can't hibernate, staying in and hunkering down is only a temporary fix. Plus, we have to brave the cold to pay those bills. Good thing, we have music to warm our souls. Quite a few Haitian artists have migrated to the States, Canada, and Europe. They've all experienced the winter blues and expressed their lingering homesickness in song. Here are a few of our favorites. They're a potent cocktail of frustration and nostalgia. We'd cry,...

    From Hi To I Do

We started Wikimizik because we're passionate about Haitian music and believe our language makes for beautiful storytelling. That's why we're telling a love story through song with "From Hi To I Do." Starting today and ending on Valentine's Day, we'll follow a relationship from the initial encounter to the altar. Everyday we'll share a song or more taking us through the stages of the relationship. There'll be songs that make you smile, and others that may leave you feeling...

    Albums We're Waiting For

Though there's a couple of albums from last year we still can't get enough of, that doesn't mean we can't look forward to a great lineup in 2016. Here are some of the albums that we can't wait for this year. 1. Carimi Their last album, Invasion, has yet to come out the 5-disc changer in most people's cars. The live album, "Kite M Cho" made us fall in love with the tracks even more. With Michael's return to the band after a month-long vacation/mini retirement, we're sure...

14 Songs We Loved in 2014

There was a lot of new music to take in this year. A lot. Alan Cavé's much-awaited double album. BélO's latest classic. T-Micky's sophomore release. Debuts from 5 Etwal, X-Tassy and Koneskyon. And many more albums and singles. We could share 300 songs we loved this year, but for time and sanity's sake we're sticking to 14. So here they are, in alphabetical order -- hope you enjoy them like we did. Alan Cave - L'Or de ton Corps A gentle beat rocks you through Alan's stormy quest...

    Kompasoul Impresses On 'No Rules'

No Rules is the debut album of Kompasoul, a new band from Montreal, Canada. The 13 tracks flow seamlessly and leave you dancing throughout the duration of the project. What's most impressive about Kompasoul is their versatility. While the band is able to churn out hard-hitting club bangers promoters will love (Pè severans, Pirana, Manje Pou 2), they also craft mellow konpa love and zouk hits DJs will spin. And the transition between the two sounds is effortless. Even...

    4Mula's Chapter 1

Jude and Carl Edouard (Carlitow) Deslouches have been on our radar since they dropped Se Ou Mwen Vle and the subsequent EP. Once in a while, the brothers would tease us with a new track. Late last year, they introduced 4Mula, a new band with fellow Montrealites and former Vibrasyon members, Romuald Paul and Benjamin Guirand. Their debut, "Chapter 1", is a groovy ride anchored by the Deslouches' warm vocals. It's the kind of album that will jump start any party and keep it rocking all night long. All you need is an aux cord. We...
