Invictus...

Pa vin di mwen ke ou ka leve w kite
Yon relasyon pou nenpòt stupidite
Pa vin di mwen ke li fasil pou rekòmanse
San menm eseye jwenn mwayen pou sa mache
Moun yo tèlman chanje
Lanmou tèlman chanje
Moun yo tèlman chanje
Gade byen

Gade lavi a byen
Di m si w gen chwa
Fè m wè w f'on chwa

Fanm pa bezwen gason
Gason pa bezwen fanm
Se tout vis k'ap devlope
On dirait tout moun deraye

Gade lavi a byen
Di m si w gen chwa
Fè m wè w f'on chwa

Gason kou fanm nan tout sa k pa bon
Youn twonpe lòt san rezon
Yon sosyete san moralite
Au nom de la modernité

[Horns]

Game sa a gen mèt
Li rele Kreyòl La
Welcome to the Champions League

[Guitar solo]

Si yon nèg pral renmen nan semèn sa a, se nan triye w ye wi

Triye (fò w triye sè mwen)
Triye pou jwenn yon bon grenn
(Pou lanwi li fasil, pou lavi l' difisil)
Triye, triye pou jwenn yon bon grenn
(Fò w triyè frè mwen)
Triye triye pou jwenn yon bon grenn
Paske bon grenn yo deja gen mèt
Triye pou jwenn yon bon grenn

[Keyboard solo]

E e Kreyòl La mande triye, e e
Apache Nation, epis la bay manje a menm gou a wi
I told you

Viv a sa w genyen an - e
Rete a sa w genyen an - e, e

Si w ak yon moun ki renmen w
E ki chwazi respekte w
Pa pran defo l sou pretèks ke ou ka jwenn pi bon pase l
Lavi sa a tèlman pyeje ke chwa nou vrèman limite
Si w pral chache 'on menaj ki pa gen menaj
Yon timoun byen saj ki pap tounen on loraj, fò w triye

Triye (fò w triye sè mwen)
Triye pou jwenn yon bon grenn
(Jwenn yon bon pa fasil) - Triye
(Fò k ou chèche anpil) - Triye
Triye pou jwenn yon bon grenn
Triye (fò w triye frè mwen)
Triye pou jwenn yon bon grenn
Paske bon grenn yo deja gen mèt
Triye pou jwenn yon bon grenn

[Keyboard solo]

Apache Nation, prekosyon... fò n triye wi la a

E e, Kreyòl la mande triye, e e

Viv a sa w genyen an - e
Rete a sa w genyen an - e e
A sa w genyen an

BIOGRAPHY
  • Albums We're Waiting For

Though there's a couple of albums from last year we still can't get enough of, that doesn't mean we can't look forward to a great lineup in 2016. Here are some of the albums that we can't wait for this year. 1. Carimi Their last album, Invasion, has yet to come out the 5-disc changer in most people's cars. The live album, "Kite M Cho" made us fall in love with the tracks even more. With Michael's return to the band after a month-long vacation/mini retirement, we're sure...

Songwriter's Corner: Jean Winer Pascal | Part 2

We're back with Part 2 of our interview with Jean Winer Pascal. Here, he breaks down song concepts and individual lines from some of his work for Beethova Obas, BélO and Emeline Michel. Songs with Beethova: Jwèt Mab - Beethova Obas On this song, you compare love to a game of marbles, what sparked that idea? When I was about fourteen, I loved to play marbles and I was good at it. I remember playing against...

    4Mula's Chapter 1

Jude and Carl Edouard (Carlitow) Deslouches have been on our radar since they dropped Se Ou Mwen Vle and the subsequent EP. Once in a while, the brothers would tease us with a new track. Late last year, they introduced 4Mula, a new band with fellow Montrealites and former Vibrasyon members, Romuald Paul and Benjamin Guirand. Their debut, "Chapter 1", is a groovy ride anchored by the Deslouches' warm vocals. It's the kind of album that will jump start any party and keep it rocking all night long. All you need is an aux cord. We...

Rapping our History From Dessalines to Martelly

Tomorrow, we celebrate the Haitian flag's 211th anniversary. We have a lot to be proud of. And a lot to think about. Many songs fit the occasion. Would we feature a nostalgic ode like Jacques Sauveur Jean's Ayiti Cheri and MikaBen's Ayiti Se? Or poignant reality checks like BelO's Detripay? Kumbaya...
